Graeme’s ordination

the congregation gathers

the new stole

Sunday July 2nd was a special day in the life of our church, when Graeme was ordained as a deacon at Winchester Cathedral.

A coach went from the church, leaving early enough to get us to Winchester in good time so that we were able to take the short stroll to the cathedral, and be among the first of the congregation to arrive.

It was a wonderful service, accompanied by some lovely singing from the cathedral choir, and afterwards we enjoyed chatting to friends on the south lawn.

Graeme really looked the part in his dog collar, and the new stole that we had presented him with.
